This is not the Alberta Soccer Mini Referee Course; this is an EMSA course only. It will be geared towards people 14 years old or older. Participants must be 14 years old by July 30, 2021. This is a 5 hours online course (from 1:00pm to 6:00pm). It will go through the Rules of Mini soccer and being an Assistant Referee within the EMSA program.
Most of our games are held on City of Edmonton fields. However we also use the EMSA West Complex and the Bill Gilhespy Soccer Centre (ESA). Please see below how games work at each facility. You can also check for other fields/facilities in the top right hand corner of the home page, in the event a game is scheduled at any other field/facility.
For existing 11v11 referees (not mini referees), there are two types of indoor soccer conversion courses available, depending on what style of indoor soccer is played in your part of the province. Arena (boarded) Conversion – is a one day course, designed to teach the Rules of Indoor Soccer, as well as provide practical on-field training.
