Youth Volleyball Net Heights. If you coach youth volleyball teams, the net height for boys and girls teams is the same unless you coach girls who are age 10 or under. Youth and Junior High Volleyball Net Height. The international volleyball federation sets the volleyball net height rules to create a common standard. Boys 12 years and under will typically play on a net height of 7 feet (2.13m). Girls 10 and under will reduce the height to 6 feet 6 inches (1.98m).

Net height for youth. The height of the volleyball net for youth cannot be the same as for adults. Youth volleyball players are usually not as tall and do not jump as high as adults.Each country defines the height of the youth volleyball net according to its own rules, of course in accordance with international youth competitions.
If you are coaching both girls and boys aged 11 and over the net height should be set at 7 feet or 213cm. You may notice there is a bit of a gray area for both boys and girls past the age of 12/13 years of age. The reason for this is because depending on your region or area the net height will be slightly different.
For youth volleyball, the regulation net height is the same for girls and boys (ages 11-12): 7 feet (2.13 meters) tall. Boys age 10-and-under use the same net height as youth volleyball. Girls age 10 and under use a slightly shorter net at 6 feet, 6 inches (1.98 meters) tall.
For the women the net should be set at seven feet four 1/8 inches (7' 4 1/8" ). There are also official net heights based on players belonging to different age groups. Boys and girls ages 11-12 is 7 feet. The lone difference is for youth 10 and under, as the boys will use a net that is 7 feet, while the girls can use a 6-foot, 6-inch net. USA Volleyball allows additional net reductions for youth programs of two through four players per team, stating the net height may be lowered to 5 or 6 feet for younger players.
